The Teacher Advisory Committee is composed of educators and administrators who advise us on our educational programs and serve as a liaison between the Center for Aquatic Sciences at Adventure Aquarium and the school community. Participants are called on to discuss and advise on program offerings, field trip logistics, integration of Common Core/NGSS standards and marine science educational support. The committee members are selected across a variety of grade levels and content areas throughout the Delaware Valley region.
The Teacher Advisory Committee will meet up to 4 times each year, with dates and times determined by the committee. This is a great opportunity for educators to become more involved with the Center’s conservation education initiatives, while enjoying exclusive behind-the scenes opportunities and upcoming program and exhibit previews.
Educators are invited to apply online for a position on our Teacher Advisory Committee. Acceptance onto the committee is dependent on space availability and specific needs of the committee. We are asking for a 2 year commitment. Contact us at learning@aquaticsciences.org with questions or for more information. |
